Jackie Crater joined the Furler O’Brien in July of 2021. Her projects include studying the metabolism of HIV-1 infected CD4+ T cells and modeling HIV-1 pathogenesis in organoid models. Originally from Chatham NJ, she is a 2021 graduate of Tufts University where she double majored in Biology and German. She was also a member of the Tufts Women’s Swimming and Diving team. Jackie plans to pursue a PhD in immuno-oncology and is interested in studying the tumor microenvironment. Her hobbies outside the lab include swimming, painting and cooking.
Jackie will be continuing her career at Weill Cornell Medicine as a graduate student in Biochemistry, Cell & Developmental Biology in the Fall of 2023. Congratulations Jackie!
